We knit, by hand, in Coimbatore
We started Kaleido Knits in a spare room with two needles and one plan: make knitwear the old way, and make it well.
Sixteen years on, we’re still small on purpose. Every piece still passes through the hands of someone who knows the craft. Nothing here comes off a machine.

We know where our yarn comes from and who spun it. If we can’t trace it, we don’t buy it.

We start knitting once you order, not before. It takes a little longer, but nothing sits unsold in a warehouse.

The hands behind the yarn
Most of our knitters are women from in and around Coimbatore. Many learned the craft from their mothers and grandmothers, long before we came along.
We give them steady, fairly paid work they can do from home, on their own schedule. In return, we get pieces made with real skill and real care.
